Ukrainian lunch with a bunch January 15, 2010
Robert Burns. Every January 25, the Scottish celebrate the birthday of their national poet, Robbie Burns Day! A special pudding is served called Haggis which has been cooked inside a sheep's stomach.
From February 4-6, 2010, St Patrick High School students will be performing the Broadway musical "Sugar" at NACC.
Here they performed at our Lunch with a Bunch (served by Weledeh School students) January 29. WOW!!
The "James Gang" served a mighty fine seniors' breakfast to end the month of January in style.

Kugaaruk (Pelly Bay). The presentation was delayed until
February 17 when Sam had an opportunity to come to Yellowknife
to accept his prize

The YK Community Foundation making a $5000.00 donation to the YK Seniors Society. Susanne Impett, Yk Seniors Board, Social Committee Chair (responsible for LWAB); Charles Dent and Darryl Viske, both members of the Yellowknife Community Foundation board. (this money will assist various schools in YK to provide lunch with the bunch and also help them financially in other school projects)
Ecole Alain St. Cyr ( the first School to take advantage of part of this generous donation) is raising the money for a trip to Costa Rica next year, where they will do volunteer work!
Our MLA's served Lunch on May 21
“Funky Fairies” – a team in the Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The girls put on a Lunch For A Bunch for us on Friday May 28, as a fundraiser for their team in the Relay for Life.
