Executive Director's Message:
Welcome to the Christmas 2009 edition of Seniors' Today! This organization wouldn't work without our many volunteers who contribute in so many ways - thanks to all of you who cheerfully volunteer your time and talents to the Yellowknife Seniors' Society.
We have lots of exciting events coming up - please check the Dates To Remember box in the newsletter.
We welcome our new program, Healing Touch. Please see the article in this newsletter for more information.
We have been pleased to assist our landlords, YACCS (Yellowknife Assn. of Concerned Citizens for Seniors) with meeting and office space during their transition time in the final phases of construction of their new dementia care facility. It is a real pleasure to work with all of the YACCS board and staff.
Your board needs your help! In March, many of the board positions will be at the end of their 2 year term. We need new folks to run for a board position at our March AGM. We need a variety of skills and talents. If you are interested in running for a position, or if you have any questions, please contact a board member or the office for more information.
Special thanks to those who worked so hard to put this newsletter together... Marg, Bob, and Mabel.
Marjorie Sandercock
Executive Director
